Summer is here and bats are busy feeding their young and themselves – making the most of all the insects they can catch! Come and join us to watch them.
The Jersey Bat Group will be hosting a bat awareness public walk at Queen’s Valley Reservoir on 27th July, starting at 20.40 in the upper car park. Buy a ticket and come and find out what the bats do while you are enjoying your evening walk. £10 for adults, £5 for accompanied children under 16.
The walk will start with a chat about local bat species and an explanation as to how echolocation works. Then we will set off around part of the reservoir using bat detectors to help us locate the bats flying around. Bat detectors will be available for attendees to use!

For those who decide that they would like to take part in other Jersey Bat Group’s activities, the adult ticket price will include JBG membership for the rest of 2022 (the membership form will be available at the walk).
Our thanks go to Jersey Water for allowing us to use the Queen’s Valley reservoir site for this event.
