Protecting Bats Since 2006

Protecting Jersey’s Bats Through Conservation, Education & Care

The Jersey Bat Group reformed in Autumn 2006 with the aim of helping protect the island’s bat populations. As a registered charity, our mission is to monitor local bat activity, educate the public, and take proactive steps to support native bat species based on the Jersey Species Action Plan.

We conduct surveys of bat populations, roosts, hibernation sites, and foraging areas across the island. We also work closely with homeowners to identify roosts and species, and offer support for encouraging safe habitats.

Through regular meetings, research, member-only walks, and public presentations, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of bats — both in Jersey and globally.

We invite anyone interested in bats to join us and take part in our efforts. Your support through membership or donations helps us continue this valuable work.
